Many people want to get rid of stomach fat because it's pretty
unsightly. A round gut is a representation of excess and gluttony, even
if you are not that person deep inside. I lost 44 pounds in just 4
months and I'm trying to spread the word far about how I did it. As
you'll see from my before and after photos, the medicine ball that used
to be my stomach pretty much disappeared! Let's find out how I did it
and how you can do it too!
You Cannot Spot Reduce
Let's dispel this myth straight up. Throw out those electronic ab
stimulators or the rolling ab crunchers. These won't do anything to
help you get rid of stomach fat.
All they will succeed in doing is making you more and more depressed when they don't work for you.
So why don't they work? Why can you not spot reduce fat?
Fat goes on "all over" at once. Different people might get more or less
fat quicker or slower in different parts of the bodies. But in general,
it still all goes on at once.
So the only way to get rid of it from your stomach is to get rid of it
all over. Anyway, why stop with the stomach when you could also get rid
of it from the neck, the legs, the arms and everywhere else?
Exercise Can Help But Is Not Essential
You certainly don't need to do any exercise to lose your gut. Too many
"gurus" think that exercise is essential to lose weight when in fact
too much of it causes people to break and to give up on getting
healthier.
Think about it: maybe you've been a little less active these years. By
suddenly going to a boot camp do you think you will form new exercise
habits? It just doesn't
work like that!
Exercise will accelerate your fat loss gains but it's just an optional extra. What you really must control is what you eat.
You Can Eat What You Want
The way I lost all my weight did not mean that I had to stop eating
what I enjoyed. But what happened was that I started trying to eat some
other healthier foods.
Nothing much, just a few smoothies, a bit more fruit, a few less candies.
I mean, I still eat a burger and fries at least once per week! There's nothing that I have had to give up.
But I do eat less now. That's because I only now eat when I'm hungry.
Next time you sit down to eat, think about how hungry you are really
feeling. Are you just "addicted" to gorging on food and the good
feelings it brings? At that moment in time, do you really need to eat
that food and, if so, do you need to eat the whole plate's worth?
When I started to think more about what I ate and why I needed it, I
started to lose a ton of weight, and now my medicine ball stomach is
gone!
